On 28 April, the internationally renowned Superyacht Show 2022 opens in Palma on the Paseo Marítimo until 1 May. Be sure to pay a visit to this major event if you are on the island at that time. The so-called “Superyacht Village” in the heart of Palma, opposite La Lonja, is the venue for the annual brokerage and charter show, where a wide range of yachts over 24m are on display for sale.
The fair offers a wonderful mix of sailing and motor yachts, old classics and ultra-modern vessels, as well as innovative developments in yacht design represented by world-renowned brokerage firms.
What can you expect?
The pandemic has brought a lot of suffering for private individuals and companies, but in return the demand for high-quality real estate and yachts/water sports of all kinds has increased. Therefore, a big run on the Boat Show is expected this year. Many people feel safer spending their leisure time and holidays on the water than between crowds in hotels or on beaches.
The market is very lively and visitors who are actively looking for a yacht have the opportunity to view the most interesting offers in one place. Visitors looking to charter a yacht are also in luck - Palma is one of the few places where clients have personal access to charter yachts to get a feel for the yacht, discuss possible itineraries with the captain and crew, and even ask the chef what culinary delights to expect!
Aside from the impressive yacht backdrop that lines Palma’s inner harbour, the exhibition also features a variety of local, national and international companies offering services to the yachting industry. For a few days, the maritime heart of the island will form a magical attraction for the Mediterranean yachting scene and an attractive destination for anyone looking for a special and entertaining day out. The physical well-being is also well catered for!
