Mercat 1930 – Palma’s Gastronomic Market

The new gastronomic market Mercat 1930 in Palma has recently opened. The location is at Paseo Marítimo, right next to the Tito’s discotheque, in the former Mediterráneo 1930. This is a trend which originally came from Madrid and started in 2009 with the Mercado de San Miguel. Not only Mallorca and Madrid follow the new trend, also other Spanish cities, for Palma it is the second market.
Mercat 1930 offers a wide range of dishes, at 16 different stands. The stands offer seafood, Italian specialties, sushi, exquisite hamburger, Thai specialties, vegetarian and vegan dishes. The market offers space for 200 guests and a further 200 guests can try out one of the delights outside on the terrace.
Furthermore, you have the possibility to book events like show cooking, workshops and wine tastings, which take place in the “Zona Community Taller”. The interior is decorated in a Mediterranean style, mainly made of wood, mallorcan tiles and cast iron.
