A new 5* Hotel for Santa Ponsa

The Country Club in Santa Ponsa is history - after 17 years the popular complex with tennis courts, fitness and wellness area as well as the restaurant has closed its doors on October 31st forever. But if one door is being closed, another door is getting to be opened! On the same site a new 5* luxury hotel will be built, including a tennis academy. When the opening will take place is not clear yet, says Andy Lamyman, the former general manager of the club. The hotel will be the first 5* hotel in Santa Ponsa and will have a total of 68 rooms. In the future they expect tourists from Northern Europe, Russia as well as tourists from the spanish mainland. The major focus will be squarely on the field of sport. In addition to a spacious gym, a tennis academy with 16 courts is planned which can compete, in terms of size, with the new tennis center of Rafa Nadal in Manacor. There will be even grass courts like in Wimbledon which are hard to find in Mallorca. Since a few days the first excavators are on the site to prepare it for the new tennis courts.
The hotel will be newly built to be on the cutting edge of technology and equipment.
