Dog-friendly beaches in Mallorca

Dogs owners in Majorca know the signs on many beaches. “No Perro” means access prohibited with dogs and you should follow these rules otherwise this can cause heavy fines from the police. Up to 3,000 euros may be paid, whom one is caught with dog on the beach by the police where it is forbidden.  This applies mainly for the highly frequented beaches in the tourist centers during the holiday season.

There are now in Majorca 5 official dog beaches where your best friend can swim all year round with you. The latest new beach is the Cala Blanca between Puerto de Andratx and Camp de Mar. But Es Carnatge between Palma and Can Pastilla, in Pollenca (an area of Llenarie-beach) and Na Patana in Santa Margalida are signed beaches for dogs. 2014 Alcudia has also followed like other areas and the Alcanada beach is also now accessible with dogs.
