Event – Mare de Déu del Carmen in Port d’Andratx
Port d’Andratx is a beautiful fishing village in the southwest of Mallorca, which is one of the most prestigious residential areas on the island. Popular with many people from radio and TV, as well as the yacht industry, there are many fabulous villas on the hills around the harbor. But Port Andratx also has a working fishing industry, which daily supplies the restaurants in the harbor with fresh fish. Port of Andratx is one of the oldest natural harbours of Majorca. Upcoming weekend, the traditional festival of “Mare de Deu del Carmen” will take place, with many various events in the fields of culture, leisure and sport. The “correfocs” (fire runs) must be highlighted here. There are street festivals, live music, a boat decoration contest, a children’s party, a night of dancing, fireworks and a parade of typical Mallorcan music groups and the so-called “Noche de caballos” - the parade of beautifully decorated horses.
