Jellyfishes? No thanks – by the use of a mobile app!

Painful meetings with jellyfishes do not belong to a relaxing day at the beach. To avoid these encounters five Mallorquins invented „Grumering“, a new application for smartphone users, which warns against „medusas“ (engl. jellyfishes). How does it work? About 100 app users report about the presence of the cnidarians on the visited beaches. The collected data are divided in 3 categories which are marked with a symbol. A red (no jellyfishes), yellow (sporadic) or no symbol indicate the intensity of the unwanted swimmers. If the information is not coloured, there should be no jellyfishes. Great idea - if all (new) user publish honest reports.
