Majorca event in April – The Palma Super Yacht Show 2016
Before the high season on Majorca restarts in earnest (in May or at the latest at Pentecost), Spring offers a perfect occasion for a quick side-trip to the South and to visit the Palma Super Yacht Show at the end of April - one of the most important boat shows in the Mediterranean area. An exhibition of approx. 70 luxury yachts of more than 24 meters awaits you. Furthermore many companies will present their services and products. Apart of the exhibition of various yachts at sea, you are invited to get to know sailing and diving schools, water sports destinations or providers of ship equipment, all along the port promenade. The Boat show expects up to 40.000 visitors. Culinary creations by star cook Marc Fosh and different performances as the Comedians of “Fun Fair Porto Adriano” complete the preliminary program.
Palma de Majorca “the pearl of the Mediterranean” is a fascinating city which is a visit worth at any time of the year. Especially in the last years, Majorca has become a Mecca for yacht enthusiasts and mainly therefore the island is the ideal place for this excellent Yacht and Charter Show. The island do justice to its reputation to be a main focus in the Mediterranean region for the brokerage market of sailing boats in the super yacht segment and it is classified as one of the most active refit destinations in Europe. The fantastic pleasant climate and the relaxed atmosphere contribute to it. Concerning the charter area, Spain is completely open to ships under a foreign flag. This comprehensive „win-win-situation” is perfectly reflected in the Palma Super Yacht Show.
The Palma Super Yacht Show is unique in its 50/50 distribution of exposed motor cruisers and sailing yachts. On the other hand the show is one of the few fairs which are organized directly by the yacht sector for the yacht industry. It is organized in close cooperation with MYBA – “The Worldwide Yachting Association” and offers an optimal place for the exhibition of yachts of more than 24 meters, for sale or charter. Since the first show in 2013, the exhibition has developed and significantly grown. This year’s show takes place from April 28th till Mai 2nd 2016 and all the indications are that it will exceed the success of the last years by far. Alone in the year 2015 the Palma Boat Show received 36.000 visitors.
