Port Andratx – always worth a visit in summer

Port d’Andratx is situated in an idyllic setting on the waterfront surrounded by mountains and about 5 km from Andratx town. For many people it is the most beautiful harbour of Mallorca - in any case it is a beautiful harbour with a well equipped yacht club with more than 450 berths. Despite its many restaurants, Port d’Andratx is still a functioning fishing port, where you can sit outside in one of the many cafes or bars and watch the busy maritime life. Within easy reach there are numerous excursion destinations, the Camp de Mar golf course and luxury spa and wellness facilities. There are also high-quality and varied shopping opportunities. If you are looking for some art and culture, you should visit the CCA Andratx cultural centre nearby. A fantastic place to see some of the best contemporary art on the island. From the nearby town of Sant Elm, in summer you can take a boat trip to the uninhabited island of Sa Dragonera, so named because of its shape of a dragon. It is a nature reserve with a visitor centre and some beautiful hiking trails. Take your binoculars with you to get a good view of seabirds, such as ospreys and gulls.
