The idyllic place in the northeast of the island – Cala Torta
In the middle of a mountainous, undeveloped countryside, the beautiful sandy beach of Cala Torta is located. There is a small bar that offers snacks, but otherwise no service. The beach is not guarded throughout. When the wind blows, there are beautiful high waves. However, one must be careful when swimming because there are currents. On the right side there is a beautiful walk along the coast through the adjoining hills to Cala Mesquida. You will pass by at several, secluded small swimming spots. The road that leads to the parking lot is a bit bumpy.
Since 35 years the bar Cala Torta belongs to one family and it is managed by the brothers Manuel and Dolores. What used to be considered as a pure nudist beach, has become popular with many and will also gladly driven by yacht owners. Especially popular is the grilled seafood platter - all natural super fresh. The price of course depends on the variety and range. Per person you pay around € 30 for a fish dish. The bar is still one of a insider tip of the island where it naturally can also be fully in the high season. Everything is very basic equipped and the offer of the existing food and drinks is not great - the atmosphere, with feet in the sand, however, is great!
