On the just recently published list of the world’s trendiest and most popular holiday destinations by the internet platform Tripadvisor, Mallorca is clearly in first place for 2022. Ibiza also made it to the top ranks and is in 6th place in the evaluation. The “Traveler`s Choice” award is a special distinction for Mallorca as it is based on the ratings given by travellers in the last 12 months.
TripAdvisor writes: “It is not only the trendiest place, but also a holiday destination that combines everything. Beaches and unexplored coves; Palma, a city absolutely worth seeing and surprising; and lots of trails and routes to explore either by bike or on foot.”
The tourism deputy in the island council also commented on this: “This shows that we are doing things right and that tourists recognise the improvements here on the island. Travellers will also appreciate the gastronomy, active tourism and nature.”
